I think inspiration can come from so many places.. I especially like looking at the colours in rugs and fabrics as jumping off points for a room. I love this gorgeous example from WSHome. Here's how they describe it: 'Artfully reinterpreting the ancient tribal designs of central Asia, our hand-stitched rug blooms with palmettes surrounded by twining vines in soft shades of ice blue, taupe, persimmon, sage and mustard yellow. The thousands of crewel stitches give each rug a rich softness and unique character.' What more colour inspration do you need! You could use one or more of those colours for total room makeover.
